The Journey to an Aston Martin DB9

Ever since I watched the Top Gear Race to Monaco in the Aston Martin DB9, I thought it was a beautiful car, a slick continental cruiser with effortless power a worthy successor to the DB7, My friend James has one here is his story of how he got his.

I blame the neighbour. He's a good guy and all that, but there's no doubt he's to blame.  Let me explain; he worked for an up-market auto dealer in the city. I was always asking him 'when was he going to find a car for me that I could afford'. Well, he did! Be careful what you wish for!  'Come and look at this beauty', he said enthusiastically, and I did. It was a beautiful 2005 Aston Martin DB9, black on black, with an incredibly low milage. It looked new; it smelled new; it sounded new. I just had to have it. I consulted the family. 'Am I crazy?' I asked. 'No Dad, your crazy if you don't buy it!' So that was that. After a brief (very brief) consultation with the bank account, I took the bold step and bought this wonder. I ordered a custom cover (driving season in this part of the world is about 6 months), and acquired a set of used Aston Martin tyre pads. The fun was about to begin! But at the moment, it looks something like this..........
